AT Cross And Envisa Team To Drive The Growth Of Its Direct-To-Consumer Channel

Framingham, MA — December 8, 2006 - As A. T. Cross continues to build a direct-to-consumer business to complement its traditional channels, the company is leveraging the successful, Envisa-designed and architected Cross.com - along with Envisa's deep experience with multi-channel integration and development - to fuel its growth and success. Building on its on-line success (on-line revenues increased 61% in the first ten months, post-launch), AT Cross launched its first-ever consumer catalog. To handle the unprecedented resultant surge in over-the-phone orders, the Cross team tapped Envisa to adapt the consumer-focused Cross.com e-commerce site for use by the company's call center representatives.

In less than six weeks-and at a fraction of the cost of a third-party solution-Envisa designed and delivered a call center-optimized version of the Cross.com application that has enabled call center agents to process incoming phone orders with an average call time of between 3 and 4 minutes-up to 50% faster than the 6-minute target that had been established at the outset of the initiative. In addition, Cross is planning a significant expansion into international e-commerce, partnering with Envisa to leverage the Cross.com architecture to rapidly deploy localized versions of the company's proven, customer-centered and highly effective e-commerce capabilities to select European and Asian markets. Envisa is also working with the Cross team to develop capabilities that will allow Cross.com to offer expanded customization services to the business-to-business market.
