Smith+Noble Web Site Redesign Wins Multi-Channel Merchant Silver Web Channel Award

Framingham, MA--Envisa announced today that it earned a Silver Web Channel Award in the Home and Gardening Products category for its work on the Smith+Noble e-commerce web site, www.smithandnoble.com, during the 22nd Annual Multichannel Merchant Awards (MCM Awards), presented by Multichannel Merchant during a luncheon ceremony at the Annual Conference for Catalog & Multichannel Merchants in Boston.

The MCM Awards honor the finest business-to-business (B-to-B) and business-to-consumer (B-to-C) marketers from the catalog and e-commerce industry. Winners were culled from a total of 64 Print Channel finalists, 37 Web Channel finalists, and 11 Cross Channel finalists in 17 categories. The finalists were selected from more than 200 entries. In all, Multichannel Merchant presented 55 accolades during the ceremony.

The MCM Awards are evaluated by a panel of experts through a series of three judging sessions: pre-screening, in-home evaluations, and a final judging session. Entries are evaluated on creative, merchandising, copy, customer service/navigation, and marketing execution. The highest scoring entry in each category receives a Gold Award, while the second highest scoring entry in each category receives a Silver Award. Winners will be featured in Multichannel Merchant magazine's annual awards issue in September 2007.

"The Multichannel Merchant Awards are the height of achievement for catalog and Web merchants," said Leslie Bacon, Multichannel Merchant publisher. "The Awards are not a beauty or circulation contest; they're not about who's the biggest or most unusual. It's about meeting-and exceeding-merchandising, marketing, service, production, and creative standards."

"Judges were impressed with SmithandNoble.com's Web-specific product copy, measuring wizard and other helpful articles and videos, photo gallery filled with design ideas, and special services offer on the home page. All of this ultimately earned the Website a Silver Award in the Home and Gardening Products category," said Bacon.
