Smith+Noble Web Site Redesign Wins Award for Excellence in Interactive Online Commerce at the 2007 MITX Awards

Boston, MA - November 9, 2007 - Envisa has been selected as a winner in the category of On-Line Commerce for the 2007 MITX Awards for the Smith+Noble Redesign. The annual MITX Awards is the largest awards competition in the country that recognizes achievements in the development and implementation of interactive technologies. Winners were announced in 33 categories, including five "Best of" awards, at a sold out ceremony attended by more than 1,000 industry professionals held on November 8th at the Boston Marriott Copley Place.

Jeffrey Schneller, Manager at Envisa and Technical Lead on the winning project, accepted the award on behalf of the team. "The Smith+Noble redesign was the result of a true team effort that combined the skills and hard work of many dedicated people from the client and our technical, design and customer experience teams. Our team worked together to observe and listen to customers and then translate that learning to the on-line experience. The site works because it aligns with customer needs and motivations in an intuitive and integrated process that allows users to easily and seamlessly visualize, configure and purchase Smith+Noble products."

"New England is home to some of the world's most innovative marketing and creative experts that help national and local brands connect with their audiences through the use of technology. Every year we see more and more evidence of this," said Kiki Mills, executive director of MITX. "MITX is proud to be the foundation for our region's vibrant digital community and to recognize and help keep our developers, marketers and creative practitioners at the forefront of innovation."

Entries were judged by over 100 industry professionals representing various disciplines including creative directors, designers, technologists, online media representatives, investors and business professionals.

The 2007 MITX Awards were sponsored by Backbone Media, Berman Gobin, Digitas, DLA Piper, Doubleclick, EyeWonder, Fidelity Investments, IBM, Microsoft, PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP and media partner MIT's Technology Review.
